Submit an entry to ASSET-Eight's middle school writing contest by February 12, 2010. The contest is open to any Arizona resident who is a 6th, 7th or 8th grade student. Each participant must submit an original, single authored story with a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 1000 words for fiction and non-fiction stories. Poetry should be no more than two pages in length. Text must be typed in 12 point Times New Roman and double spaced. Any failure to adhere to these contest rules will result in disqualification. The Mayors office, city planners, school staff and community came together to cut the ribbon and officially open the pool to the public. Although closed for the winter, the pool is now being used by Rhodes PE students and is home to the Dobson Swim Team.
