Experience the Power of Drama!

Drama is powerful!!  Learning to tell a story in such a way that it captures the audience and leaves a lasting impression is our goal as actors, storytellers, and reader's theater participants.  Being on stage is not the only part of a show.  We encourage students to become involved in set design, lighting, costumes, and make-up as well.

The Academy strives to involve as many students as possible in this experience.  With this goal in mind, we produce several plays a year as well as having occasional meetings to learn new techniques.  We encourage any student who has an interest in drama to talk with Mr. Mitchell in room 5.  Also, look for announcements on ABS as to meeting times, audition times, and production dates.

See You On Stage!

here is further information I just got, today, Thursday, 11/30/17

Just a few clarifications, if you can pass these on to the kids interested that would be awesome.
Their audition date is Thursday Dec 7 from 4:15 - 6pm in the auditorium.
If they can have the audition form filled out when they come that would be awesome, its in the packet along with the calendar.
It will be a closed audition, if parents want to stay, they will have to stay in the lobby.
I know some of you have shows going on through Jan, please assure the kids will will work around anything they have going on over with you guys.
If anyone has any questions, please tell them or their parents to contact me.
