Derek Award

Congratulations to Derek Dinsmore (pictured right), graphic communications specialist in communications and marketing, for receiving a 2014 Award of Excellence from the National School Public Relations Association. Derek’s East Valley Academy brochure received the highest distinction in the ‘Marketing Publication' category.  Derek’s talents are evident in district publications, advertisements and signage. Common Core with Technology Skills Workshop hosted by GCU 

Grand Canyon University is hosting a free workshop, Common Core with Technology Skills for Project-Based Learning, for all Mesa Public Schools Employees. Participants will receive a certificate for two professional development hours. The workshop will be held at Mountain View High School on Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. See the flier for complete information. Calling all coaches

Coaches neededJunior high athletics is looking for coaches of all sports. This opportunity pays certified or classified employees $500 per sport.  Each seven- or eight-week-long season consists of five games, and two or three practices per week. Coaches are needed for the following sports: boys/girls basketball, boys/girls soccer, wrestling, baseball, softball, badminton, boys/girls volleyball and flag football.
