Summer safety

The Arizona summers can be deadly! The Mesa Police Department wants you and your children to be safe.

Do not leave children (or animals) in unattended vehicles.

When you arrive home, always check to ensure that all people and pets are safely in the house.

Always watch children around water. Keep pool fences locked.

Talk with your child about stranger danger in the neighborhood so they may be alert when playing outside or visiting a friend.

Now that school is out for summer break, keep an eye out when driving for little ones who may accidentally dart into the street on foot or while riding a bike.

Stay in the shade, use sunscreen and drink plenty of water.
