If you are moving to a new school or department within MPS, please do not delete your website. Send me an email and I will move your website to your new job location. Include the following information:

  • current work location
  • new work location
  • new grade level, department or job title

Basic Architeck Classes

Basic Architeck classes will be available again at the end of July. This class will be an online class. Enrollment is in the ERO system through Professional Development. New hires will receive this information during TNT/TNM.

 


 

Architeck Classes Available for Certified Staff during Summer Institute

Don't forget to register for an Architeck class during Summer Institute. The following classes are still available for registration:

Get Smart with Architeck
Prerequisites: Basic Architeck Training
DescriptionThis course will provide MPS employees an opportunity to receive advanced training in the use of the Smart Pages in Architeck. Participants will learn to create a Smart Page and add content to the page. Participants will also learn how to swap their new Smart Page and their old Basic Page.


Architeck: Communicating through Newsletters
Prerequisites: Basic Architeck Training
DescriptionThis course will provide MPS employees an opportunity to receive advanced training in the use of newsletters in Architeck as a way to better communicate with students and parents. Focus will be placed upon the use of news feeds to increase classroom-home communication.

Prerequisites: Basic Architeck Training
DescriptionThis course will provide MPS employees an opportunity to receive advanced training in the use of calendars in Architeck as a way to better communicate with students and parents. Focus will be placed upon the use of calendars to increase classroom-home communication.

 

Digital Citizenship

Digital Citizenship: Copyright
Description: There is a world of content that teachers want to use in their classroom and share with their students and the world, but how does a teacher know when and how they can use the content they want without running afoul of copyright law? Explore the basics of copyright law and fair use, how these principles apply to educators, and how to tap into the power of Creative Commons licensed media. Note: This course is a prerequisite for "Podcasting with Architeck". This course is required in order to have permissions to upload audio and video in Architeck.
