Architeck Professional Development Opportunities

Professional Development opportunities for the fall semester are now available for certified employees who already have an Architeck website. Completion of either of these two classes will qualify you for video and audio permissions on your Architeck site.

If you are a certified employee and would like to learn more about Architeck's 2.0 functionality, you can register for the following classes through Professional Development:

  • Curriculum Integration Using Architeck
    • This course will provide educators (K-12) an opportunity to receive advanced training in the use of the Architeck Web Content Management System. Training will encompass design theory and implementation as well as district policy and Best Practices.  Educators will also learn to integrate Architeck 2.0 functionality (subscription-based news feeds and audio and video podcasting) as a vehicle for improving parent-teacher communication and curriculum support. We will also cover calendar, image gallery, links and tables.
  • Podcasting: Creating and Publishing Podcasts for Education
    • Podcasts can connect educators with a larger learning community and can connect students with curriculum and on-demand information specific to their classes. Course participants will be introduced to the basics of podcasts (definition, searching for, subscribing to, listening to/watching). The primary focus for participants will be on creating their own audio and video podcasts to enhance learning and offer on-demand instruction.

Participants will receive a USB Desktop Microphone and there is a $20 materials fee due as soon as you have a status of "Registered".

Participants MUST have an active Architeck account/page to register for either of these classes.

When you say that classes are open to educators K-12, does that mean that Early Education/ preschool teachers are excluded, or are they still able to enroll in classes such as these?
