Band karate is an assessment & enrichment system. Each belt consists of three tests. The first two tests are things that we have learned in class (assessment of class material). The third test uses concepts covered in the other two tests, but in a different song that has not been covered in class (enrichment). Band karate rankings will be reported on the end of quarter report card, but do not count towards the overall grade.
Students may take belt test #3 before school. We will occasionally test on belt test #1/2 during class. Students who would like to redo belt tests #1/2 may do so before school.
