Students created lines by dipping string into India ink and dragging it across the paper. They then explored the properties of Complementary Colors: 1. They make each other appear brighter; 2. They make browns when mixed together; and 3. They are across from each other on the color wheel. The non-objective lines were used as inspiration for completing the painting. |
