Tessellations

Grade 6

Project Statement: A tessellation is a shape that when placed side by side, leaves no gaps. The 6th grade students looked at samples from M.C. Escher, then drew, cut and traced around their own tessellating shapes. Then they added lines and colors to create objects within those shapes. Very imaginative indeed!
