Grade 4- Positive & Negative Space with Pattern

Students created positive and negative space by cutting organic or geometric shapes out of a rectangle and flipping pieces to create symmetry. Negative space was filled with a regular pattern and the flipped out positive space was filled with a random pattern using same lines and or shapes used in regular pattern. Black lines fill in area outside rectangle.
