Lindbergh Elementary
Grade 6 - Grand Canyon
Students were shown how ancient seas deposited silt - layer upon layer, millenium after millenium. After the seas dried up, the layers solidified. Then the Colorado River began its eroding slice through the ancient seabed to reveal the various layers. Students used pastels and line stencils to create their art works of the Grand Canyon.
