Grade 6 - Egyptian Mummy Cases

Students created these Egyptian mummy cases in conjunction with their study of ancient Egypt in their classroooms. Students worked with the use of positive and negative space to create the actual case shape. We disucssed the importance of various shapes, symbols and patterns to the Egyptians. This information was vital to decorating the case. We finished the project by embossing tour names on the copper foil in hieroglyphs.
