Patterns, Patterns, Patterns!! - Grade 5

Students created a non-objective work of art by drawing 3 to 5 "double-lined" lines.   They then filled the surrounding spaces with oil pastels.   Using black tempera paint and dishwashing liquid, painted over the picture.   After the paint dried, they scratched random and sequential patterns into the spaces.
Materials: white paper, oil pastels, black tempera paint, dishwashing liquid, wood tooth picks
