Biography

I graduated from ASU in 2002 with a Fine Arts Degree in Ceramics. I have taught ceramics for the City of Tempe for seven years. I returned to ASU and received my degree in Art Education in 2010.

Since I was very young, I have always had a passion for the arts. Some people may ask, "Why teach art?" Art teaches students to express themselves through a different kind of language. It provides an opportunity for self-discovery; builds self-esteem and students learn to value their own uniqueness. Art helps students with how to understand and interpret the world we live in. Art has always been exciting to me and it is this same excitement that I will bring to my classroom.

I will be working at four schools this school year; Sousa, Hermosa Vista, Porter, and Ishikawa. The best way to reach me is through email. If you have any questions please feel free to email me. Thanks and I look forward to working with your children.
