  • Read Please - A human voice for your computer - Free text-to-speech software for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP. Copy and paste your text into Read Please 2003, program will read the text to you and highlight each word as it is read. With Read Please you are given the ability to easily change the voices, speed and text size.

  • E-Text Reader -Text-to-speech software, that allows you to copy and paste text into, create your own document in or open up an existing document. A free version of this software is available on this site for Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 and XP. E-Text Reader is a complete word processing system, with several options and features such as: spell checker, bookmarks, ability to change the fonts, background colors, and highlight text. Note: scroll down and choose E-Text Reader-click submit on the personnel information page (no need to enter any info.) and then select E-Text Reader, it will start download. Site includes free "how to" video to get the user started.

  • Sayz Me - Download this free text-to-speech reader for Windows 98, 2000 and XP. Sayz Me reads text copied from clipboard, opened text files or text typed in. It offers a selection of voices with adjustable pitch, speed and volume, highlighting each word as it is read. Sayz Me also allows you to choose from different fonts, font sizes and colors. Site has complete installation and user instructions.

  • WordTalk - WordTalk is a free plug-in developed for use with all versions of Microsoft Word (from Word 97 and up). It will speak the text of the document, highlighting it as it goes. It contains a talking spellchecker and user controls for adjustment of highlighting, voices and speed. The site has complete installation and user instructions.
