Please check out Food and Nutrition's website for the current lunch menu. http://www.mpsaz.org/food/menu_cal.html
What are the detention and tardy policies? TOP
Students who arrive at school after the start of school should report directly to the front office for a pass allowing them into class. After the tardy bell has rung, no student may enter a class without a pass.
Students who miss class due to a medical appointment are asked to provide the office with documentation from the doctor/dentist. Most doctors/dentists have such documentation readily available and are glad to provide it to you. This documentation is kept in the front office.
Eexamples of unexcused tardies include: waking up late, missing the bus, or sleeping in.
| Consequences for Tardy to Class: |
| 1st Tardy |
Warning/reminder of rule/documentation |
| 2nd Tardy |
15 minute detention/parent notification, documentation/written plan for improvement is to be developed |
| 3rd Tardy |
30 minute detention/parent notification and parent involvement |
| 4th Tardy |
Referral to administration |
| Continuing Tardies |
Loss of privileges or possible suspension for defiance of the tardy policy |
Can my student have a cell phone on campus? TOP
Cell phones are allowed on the Brimhall campus. They may be used before the first bell in the morning and after the last bell in the afternoon outside the building. During the school day they are to be turned off and left in the student's backpack in his/her locker. They will not be allowed in the classroom at any time, nor will the student be allowed to carry the phone in his/her pocket, purse or binder.
If the cell phone is used in any manner that disrupts the educational process, it will be confiscated, secured in the bookstore and returned only to a parent or guardian. On the second infraction, the student will lose the privilege to have
a cell phone on campus, and discipline consequences will administered.
What is the easiest way to communicate with my student's teachers? TOP
Brimhall students are provided a daily planner to help in organizing school-related work. The planners are required for every class and are used as a communication tool between the school and home. Teachers complete the progress portion every week, and parents are asked to sign the planner indicating knowledge of the child's progress. Students are rewarded on a quarterly basis for accurately completing the planner.
