Biography

I was born and raised in Mesa, AZ and grew up in the Mesa Unified School District.  It is a privilege, now, to be a part of Mesa Public Schools again as a teacher.

This is my first year teaching 7th grade math here at Brimhall Junior High and my 2nd year as a teacher for Mesa Public Schools.  I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Arizona State University in 2006 and went on to pursue my Post-Baccalaureate teaching certificate.  During my time at ASU, I had the opportunity to teach English overseas in the country of Turkey for 3 consecutive summers.  I am currently pursuing my ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement.

To additionally help students, math tutoring is available for all of my students on Tuesdays and Wednesdays before school from 8:15-9:00 in my classroom (Room 108).  Additional math tutoring is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after school from 3:55 to 4:40 in the media center computer lab.  Tutoring bus passes are available for those students have their ID and usually ride the bus.  Any changes to this schedule will be posted in class.
