Biography

After a 22 year obstetrical nursing career, I had the oppertunity to attend ASU and complete a degree in Elementary Education. I initially taught in the primary grades at Madison Elementary School in Mesa. Within the first few years of teaching, I completed my Masters of Education at Northern Arizona State University. The past 8 years I have taught 5th and 6th grades here at Brinton Elementary School. My academic interests draw from my prior career, so math and the sciences are my passion as an educator. My classroom incorporates the 7 intelligences, so students often create projects, slideshows, diaramas and act out plays to achieve their learning goals.
