You have six days to get used to writing 2019 before school resumes on the 7th of January. During the week of January 14th through the 18th, school ends at 1:55 PM due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. On Monday, January 21 there will be no school in observance of Civil Rights Day. The Parent Meeting for the sixth grade SeaWorld trip will occur the next afternoon, Tuesday the 22nd, at 5:00 PM. Join our PTO and dance up a storm at the Bobcat Bop family fun dance on January 25th at 6:30 PM. After that, here’s your chance to Ream the Teacher! Please donate reams of paper to your favorite teacher from January 28th until February 8th. Also beginning on January 28th, Kindergarten Registration at 10:00 AM through 2:00 PM. Evening Kindergarten Registration is January 29th from 4:00 until 6:00 PM. Finally, on January 31, the sixth graders will have Step Up to Junior High day.
Lots of fun things are happening! Book Fair is open for business through December 7th. Remember, books make great gifts! Thursday, December 6th, come listen to the Bush Bands at 6:00 PM. Enjoy coffee and a doughnut on December 7th at our annual Doughnuts at Dawn get together at 7:30 AM. The Bush Orchestras strut their stuff on December 11th at 6:00 PM. On December 13th, the 3rd Grade presents their Holiday Musical to help get us all in the right mood. There will be a Spelling Bee on December 21st at 9:00 AM. The 21st is also the last day of the semester with an Extra Early Release at 12:25 PM. After that it’s up to you - we wish you a peaceful and joyful Holiday Season! Cookie dough will be delivered on October 4th, and October 5th is the last day of the first quarter. That means report cards and an extra early release at 12:25! Next is the highly awaited October Break. No school from October 8th until the 12th. Have some fun! Parent Teacher conferences take place during the week of October 15th – 19th, and the students will be released at 1:55 PM all week. Our Montessori will be hosting their Parent Education Night on October 23rd at 5:30 PM. Picture retakes will be done on the 25th, and on the 29th our “Kiss the Pig” coin drive begins – drop a dime in your favorite teacher’s jar and help him or her to kiss the big, beautiful pig at the Carnival!
