School Improvement Advisory Council

PURPOSE
The Barbara Bush School Improvement Advisory Council will serve in an advisory board to the principal for the purpose of improving and maintaining the quality of education experienced by students at the Barbara Bush Elementary School. The council will provide the opportunity for parents, students, community members, and staff to have a choice in meaningful issues that involve the school.

MISSION
The Barbara Bush School Improvement Advisory Council will:
1. Assist in the development and achievement of the continuing school Mission Statement.
2. Work with the principal to improve the
educational process at the school.
3. Advise the principal in planning, developing, and assessing the school programs.
4. Serve as the liaison to the community, hearing all concerns, recommendations, etc., and
participation in resolving the same with
counsel to the principal.
5. Provide input and counsel into any improvement plan that involves the school.

**Members include parents, community members, teachers, and the principal with a total of 14 members.
