Biography

Mr. Roche was born and raised in San Mateo California. He received his Bachelor of

Fine Arts Degree from California State University Long Beach. He has a Post Baccalaureate Degree in Elementary Education from the College of Notre Dame in Belmont, California and recently completed his Masters Degree at NAU. He is thrilled to be teaching at Barbara Bush Elementary in Mesa Public Schools.

Mr. Roche is a three time Public Corporation of the Arts Grant Recipient. This grant allowed him to develop , implement, and maintain an art workshop program  for at risk youth in the City of Long Beach, Ca. It was an experience that put him on the path to pursue a career in teaching. He is entering his 15th year of teaching, his 11th at Barbara Bush Elementary.  Mr. Roche has taught Professional Development Classes on "Literature Circles-Structure & Implementation ", "Positive Discipline and Classroom Management" , and "Writers Workshop Revision in Your Classroom".

Mr. Roche enjoys spending time with with his wife Denise, son Connor, and their dogs Max & Alexander cats Nacho & Princess. He loves to teach, read, paint, and root for the San Francisco 49ers and Giants.
