Biography

I love teaching !  Let me tell you a little about myself.  I am an Arizona native, so you might say that I have "cactus juice" running through my veins.  I was a Tempe High "Buff" and married my high school sweetheart, Ed.  We have been married for 32 years  and we have two beautiful children, Jenni who attends ASU and is close to graduating as a Molecular Biologist and Stephen, graduate of NAU who is proudly a Phoenix Fire Department Firefighter.   We live with our zany pets, 3 dogs in an antique 52 year old "Classic" Tempe home in a neighborhood closeby where Mr. Cox and I both grew up as children.   I have been teaching for 17 years in Mesa and love everyday I spend with my children and families.  I have a Masters in Multicultural-Bilingual Education a Reading Endorsement from NAU and am currently working towards a second Masters Degree through ASU in geography.  I also hold a reading endorsement, as well.  I love bicycle riding, music, arts, bird nests, animals, chickens, pigs, trees and the color green.  I am blessed to be your teacher, friend or better yet, both.  Please visit our classroom calendar site on the left and click on July 31st to find out how to come and meet me early and see our classroom.  It is a great opportunity to have one on one time for questions or tidbits you would like to share with me before the year begins.
