Biography

 WORK BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION:

I graduated from ASU with a BS in Business Management and Administration.  I worked in the Aerospace Industry for six years, several as a financial analyst.  I left work to be a stay-at-home mom.  While raising my children I discovered my love for teaching.   I earned my teaching certificate from Rio Salado College, and have a math endorsement.  All three of my children graduated from Bush. This is my fifth year at Bush.  Previously, I taught for five years at Ishikawa.   For the last five years I have had the wonderful opportunity to focus on teaching math.   When I was young, social studies was one of my favorite subjects!  I did not find my love for math until I was in college--I hope that I can teach math to my students in such a way, that they find a love it now (or at the very least--to feel comfortable with it!)

The 6th grade team is a very cohesive group!  Your student is assured of having a wonderful year full of diverse, interesting, fun and pertinent learning!
