Photo   WELCOME TO 4th - 6th Montessori Elementary II!

I am very excited to begin a new school year!

Being a learner and adventurer is part of who I am. Since I was a child, I have always had a strong desire to explore worlds unlike my own. I recall spending countless hours gazing through my dad’s old Atlas books and National Geographic magazines dreaming of swimming in the Amazon River, diving into a turquoise ocean and exploring ancient ruins. Teachers throughout my formal years of education, who believed in me and inspired me, nurtured the idea that my dreams can become a reality.  Since then, I have explored most of South America, Central America, North America, and various countries in Europe. My travels have taught me about life, people, cultures, empathy… and so much more. It is my hope that I will bring my experiences to your child, and inspire him/her to reach his/her utmost potential - to believe that dreams do come true.

I was born and raised in southern California. I earned my B.A. in Elementary Education K-8 from Ottawa University in Arizona, and my M.A. in Secondary Education 6-12, Language and Literacy from Kaplan University. I also earned my Montessori Certification through the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies in Boulder, Colorado.  One day, I would like to earn a doctorate in Culture Studies.

This will be my 18th year of teaching. I have taught every grade from K – 8th (except for 1st grade) and I LOVE every grade level for different reasons. My teaching experiences also include working overseas for eight years in Bogota, Colombia and Monterrey, Mexico.

In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, read, hike, travel, take pictures of beautiful flowers and sunsets, and spoil my cute animals.

I look forward to an exciting year filled with adventure and success.

Sincerely,

Ms. Suzanne
