Student Council

The purpose of student council is to build school spirit and to introduce elementary school students to the workings of student government. They learn parliamentary procedure which is helpful in government.



Executive Officers (5) are elected by the student body (Grades 3-5) at the end of each school year for the upcoming year. Class representatives are elected in their regular classroom.





Student Council raises money and purchases things for the school. They finance field trips for each grade level and provide incentives for those students and classes showing school spirit. They also pay for guest speakers and creative arts performances.



Student Council and the school nurse, Peggy Jones, sponsor "Operation: Christmas Angel". The Christmas Angel project provides many families with Christmas and more. Student Council provides food and other general staples such as laundry soap, toothpaste and shampoo. Toys and clothing are donated by staff and the parents of Barbara Bush. Way to go, Bobcats!!
