- Earthquakes are caused when two plates move sideways causing the earth
to move and shake and destroy the
area around the earthquake.

- It happened off the cast of South Central Chile

- It happened on May 22, 1960 at 7: 11 P.M.

- There is no reason for the earthquake either than that nature made it
happen.

- The earthquake was caused by two plates moving together.

- Lots of people were injured and killed.

avoided if there were advanced earthquake trackers to track the
earthquake before it hit Chile.
- The earthquake could also not have been avoided because there was not
much advanced technology in 1960.

- The country Chile has gotten back to normal after the great earthquake
and there hasn’t been any other major earthquake.
