  •  The Bangladesh Cyclone killed 139,000 people on April 30, 1991

How did it happen?
  • They begin where the hottest spot in the ocean is and all the hot air and the cold air mix together to form a cyclone

What were the damages?
  •  A 138,000 people died during the disaster and a lot of people were injured by falling walls and electric wires.  It cost billions of dollars because of all the damage that had happened.

Could this disaster have been avoided?
  •  It could have been avoided because if they would have been warned about the cyclone then they probably could have evacuated then less people would have died.

What has happened since the disaster?
  • They have been restoring all the damage that has been caused by the cyclone.  Also a lot of other floods and cyclones have happened.
