- Mount Saint Helens is a volcano in the cascade mountains that has
erupted many times.
3
- The eruption happened 95 miles away from Seattle, Washington in the
Cascade Mountains.

5
- The reason Mount Saint Helens erupted was because of an earthquake that
ripped open the north side of the volcano causing lava to spill out of
the crack.
6
- 57 people died from the blast
- the eruption caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damage
- it dropped the elevation from 9,677ft. to8,356ft

- No because this was a natural disaster but if they new about it they
could have evacuated people, to prevent the deaths.
8
- Now after the eruption plants are growing freely through the valley
& animals prospered through out the land.
