  • You heard about Katrina but did you know there was a more devastating disaster before, called Hurricane Andrew.

Where did it happen?
  • It took place south of  Miami Florida.
  • And also hit Louisiana.

When did it happen?
  • This devastating disaster occurred on August of 1992

How/Why did it happen?
  •  The reason this devastating Hurricane happened was because the two plates of the earth overlapped each other.

What were the damages?
  •  This hurricane caused more damage than any hurricane to hit this region.
    • Howling at the rate of 165 miles per hour and 17 feet tall
  •  has killed over 60 or more people  and animals.

Could this disaster have been avoided?
  •  No it could not have been avoided because it’s a part on nature.
  •  But most of deaths of animals and humans could have been avoided if we were more prepared.

What has happened since the disaster?
  • people have been getting more help and service from around the world.
