We celebrated Young Authors Week with the annual family writing contest, a bookmark contest, a mystery crime scene to solve, and writing with buddy classrooms.

Author Marianne Mitchell spoke with 3rd through 6th graders on Wednesday, February 1st. Mrs. Mitchell has written the mystery novels "Finding Zola" and "Firebug" and picture books "Gullywasher Gulch" and "Joe Cinders." These books are set in the southwest. Author Glenn Sweet & Illustrator Laurie Palazzolo shared their rhyming picture book "Fuzzy" with all grades on Friday, February 3rd.
