Welcome to the Wacky, Wonderful   World of the

"Drama  Mama"!

I am one of the lucky people who earns their living teaching what they love! I truly believe I was put on this planet to teach drama and have had a wonderful 28 year career watching the magic that can happen when students discover their talents and abilities and grow in confidence to share them.  I began this wonderful journey after graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in Theater and English. My first teaching position was at Mesa High School. I moved briefly to the Midwest but quickly discovered that Arizona was a MUCH better place to live, so returned and taught at Mesa Junior High School for the next seven years.  I returned to Mesa High to teach English and found I missed the junior high enthusiasm (I know, I said I was wacky), and I also missed teaching drama and directing plays.  When Stapley Junior High opened, I jumped at the chance to start a drama program!  Now, thirteen years later, I am still here and plan to stick around until I retire or lose my sanity. (Some say the latter happened a long time ago!) When I am not teaching, I spend time with my husband and two children and my pug, Barkley The Wonder Dog!  For seven years I performed with a local Improvisational comedy troupe, The Jester'Z, formerly known as The OxyMoronz .  Maybe that's why I love teaching so much....a captive audience!
