My name is Chuck Powell.  I have been married since 1992 to my wonderful wife Christina and we have two great kids Logan and Emily and a black Lab named Baxter.  We moved to the valley during the summer of 2002, from Kansas City where we lived and worked for ten years. I have been in teaching since 1991 and have taught just about every science class except Physics. I have coached football, soccer, girls basketball, softball and golf. I hold a Masters Degree in Educational Administration and served as the Assistant Principal at High Desert Middle School in Globe, AZ during the 2006-2007 school year.

           We moved to Arizona mainly for a little adventure and a change of scenery.  My wife’s parents have lived in Sun Lakes since 1997, and after visiting them for many holiday breaks we decided “why not...”.  We currently live in south Gilbert.

             I enjoy golfing, hunting, fishing, and kayaking...some of which I’m good at and others not so much...
