Biography

Dr. Jane Ahler is the school psychologist at Stapley Junior High.  She began this position at Stapley in the 05/06 school year, following eleven years serving as a school psychologist in the Phoenix west valley area. Dr. Ahler holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, with a specialization in School Psychology, from Arizona State University.   She is also a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.

Dr. Ahler began her professional career in education as a special education teacher in Northern New York.   She moved to Arizona in 1985 to pursue further studies in Educational Psychology at Arizona State University.  While attending ASU, Dr. Ahler worked for several years as a program coordinator for students with learning disabilities through the Disabled Student Resources Program.  Dr. Ahler has also served for several years on the executive board of the Arizona Association of School Psychologists as the Central Region Director and as the Membership Chair.  Additional professional development includes specialized training in crisis response, including extensive training with the National Organization of Victims Assistance (NOVA).
