I am originally from New Mexico but moved to Arizona to attend ASU.  I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and continued my education, receiving a mathematics specialist and a middle grade endorsement. I taught for Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and Blind Early Intervention Program for 7 years before becoming a classroom teacher in 2003.

I have two incredible children and one pet water turtle.  My daughter, Marina, is a 9th grader at Taylor Junior High and is on the cheer squad.  My son, Remington, is in the 4th grade at Robson and plays basketball.  He is currently training for his black belt in karate, tryouts will be in June.  In my spare time, I enjoy baseball spring training games, quading at the dunes, reading, exercising, and traveling.  I have been fortunate enough to travel all across the U.S. as well as Costa Rica and Mexico.  In the summer of 2004, my children and I spent a month in Cuernavaca, Mexico, living with a host family.  We visited Mexico City, Teotihuacan, Acapulco, Taxco and all the other surrounding areas.  This summer is a trip to Puerta Vallarta and in October we will head to Italy for my sister's wedding.

We are huge Suns fans too!  I think this will be their year.  GO SUNS!!!
