BIOGRAPHY

Welcome to the web page at Stapley!  I am in my third year as the assistant principal and athletic director and seventeenth year in public education.  I have been at Stapley since we opened fourteen
years ago, where I taught students with learning disabilities and served as the special education department chair.  Prior to my time at Stapley, I taught in Flagstaff at Sinagua High School and also coached football, basketball and softball.

I was born and raised in Northeastern Arizona in the small Route 66 community of Holbrook.
Growing up in a small town, the school was considered the center of the community.  Even in a large metropolitan area such as ours, I hold the same belief.  I invite you to be an active participant on the campus of Stapley by involving yourself with the parent booster club, utilizing the web site to communicate with teachers and tracking assignments, or even eating lunch with your child on campus.

I graduated from Northern Arizona University earning Bachelor’s degrees in History and Special Education, and later a Master’s in Educational Leadership.  I currently have 2 boys who are 9 and 7,
a daughter who is 2 1/2, and the newest addition, another boy, 7 months old.

Please do not hesitate to communicate with teachers, staff, or administration.  My belief is in trying to be proactive with students rather than reactive.  I look forward to another great year at Stapley.
