Rules  

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS & UNFORTUNATE CONSEQUENCES:

 

The following expectations are aligned with the school-wide Student Handbook.

  • Be on time.  Be in your seat when the bell rings. 
  • Be prepared. Bring all work, books, pencils/pens, and notebooks to class.
  • Follow directions the first time they are given. 
  • Respect the rights, feelings and property of both your peers and your teacher.
  • Keep food, drinks, and gum out of the classroom.
  • Follow all school rules.

The following consequences are used in my classroom.  The nature of each case will be taken into consideration.

  • Warning-  this syllabus is your first warning
  • Informal or formal conference with student, Natural consequences, Removal from class
  • Before or after school service hours (within 24 to 48 hours)
  • Reoccurring problems:  contact parent
  • Serious offense: administrative and/or parental involvement

*A detention reminder will be sent home and signed by a parent and returned with you when it is served.

**Severe Disruption: If a student is involved in fighting, destroying property, or defying the authority of the teacher, he or she may be sent to the office immediately.   A log describing the behavior will also be sent.
