Biography

Welcome to another school year! My name is Rebekah Rudow and I am excited to have your student in my class. This is my second year as a Sabercat, and I am thrilled to be back. I love it here at Stapley! It is an awesome school with wonderful administration and staff. I hope during your time here that you and your students have the same great experience.

Here is a quick background on myself: I grew up around this wonderful population, through my mother being a special ed teacher for years at Westwood and then opening up this program here at Stapley. I have worked for Special Olympics and Adaptive Recreation for the City of Mesa for over ten years, and have loved every minute of it.

I currently coach Special Olympics Floor Hockey and Special Olympics Gymnastics, and am a member of the Mesa Unified Dragon Boating team. I have been able to make such wonderful memories and friends through being a part of the Special Olympics. If you are ever interested in getting your student involved, please ask and I can guide you in the right direction.

In terms of education, I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a bachelor degree in both Special Education and Elementary Education. I student taught in first grade at O’Connor and in Special Ed MOMD at Brimhall. After completing student teaching I took over the position at Brimhall in their MOMD program, and completed the year. I enjoyed my time there with the students but could not pass up the opportunity of coming over to Stapley.
