All About Me
I came to special education from an entirely different career in Project Management for scenic design companies creating stage sets, themed restaurants, and multi-media presentations. My work history also includes working for the Arizona Historical Society Museum in Tempe as an exhibitions specialist. I began substitute teaching for Mesa, Gilbert and Creighton school districts to begin my “mid-life” career change in 2003. My first full-time teaching position was at Sequoia working with LD students in elementary, junior high and secondary classes. In 2005 I came to Stapley Junior High following a summer program where I had my first opportunity to work with SMD students.
I graduated from ASU with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. My Post-Baccalaureate work is being completed at Rio Salado College in Special Education K-12 .
