7th Grade Social Studies

The 7th grade social studies curriculum takes a look at our United States history. Through our studies of the United States, we will integrate the study of U.S. history, world history, government, economics, and geography - the 5 strands as identified by the Arizona Department of Education.

Immigration and Industrialization

Reasons for Imperialism
US expanding role in the world -
Spanish American War, Panama Canal, Open Door Policy
World War I
Militarism, Imperialism, Nationalism
Events that led to US involvement
Selective Service Act
Wilson’s Fourteen Points
Treaty of Versailles

The 1920’s &1930’s
Economic policies and factors that led to the Great Depression
