Mrs. Parker has been an educator for over 18 years. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana until she was 11 years old. Her family moved to Mesa, Arizona when she was in the 6th grade. Here in Mesa, she was a student at Webster Elementary School, Carson Junior High and she is a graduate of Westwood High School. Mrs. Parker has a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science with a minor in English, and a Master's of Education in Secondary Education Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University, and a counseling certification from University of Phoenix. She has been a counselor here at Carson since 1997. Outside of school, she enjoys singing, arts and crafts, and participating in a variety of community activities. She is also currently an adjunct English professor at South Mountain Community College.
