National Junior Honor Society, or NJHS is now back on campus, Of the over 100 eighth and ninth grade student qualifying students, 66 students are actually participating and have elected their officers. Seventh graders will qualify for NJHS after the end of first semester. Our induction ceremony will be held on Thursday evening January 21, 2010.
National Junior Honor Society is a worldwide organization that consists of chapters in middle schools. Selection is based on five criteria: citizenship, service, leadership, scholarship and character. Members must maintain a high grade point average (the national minimum is a 3.5) and become good citizens (by participating in service projects). The NJHS requires some sort of school service to the community, school, or other organizations.
Currently, NJHS is meeting in the Media Center after school on Wednesdays from 3:50 - 4:20 pm. For more information, contact Ms Warfield at 472-2867 or email her at klwarfie@mpsaz.org
