I've been the choir teacher here at Carson since 2017.
This is my 15th year teaching music and choir in public schools. I've taught in the Gilbert, Scottsdale, Higley, Pearce, and Cochise schools districts, and now Mesa.
I earned my Associate's of Arts in Music from Mesa Community College, my Bachelor's in Music Education and my Master's in Music Education from Arizona State University.
I am a proud product of Mesa Public Schools, having attended Booker T. Washington Elementary in 1989 and Rhodes Junior High, and graduated from Dobson High in 1998.
I was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and moved to Red Wing, Minnesota in kindergarten.
My 4 year-old daughter, Olivia Joy, is my pride and joy. She loves music, dancing, Paw Patrol, puzzles, reading, laughing, and making everyone else laugh.
Things I enjoy doing outside of the classroom are hiking, hanging out with friends, playing piano, watching movie (especially Hallmark), driving, eating (especially ice cream and Olive Garden), playing piano on my church's worship team, but most all, spending time with my daughter.
I have also been a private piano teacher since I was 16 years old back in 1996. That is something I enjoy doing to this day---teaching ages 4 and up, including adults.
