Mrs. Acton smiling with two thumbs up

Mrs. Aimée Acton

I moved to Arizona in 2006 with my husband, and two children. I love it!

My husband being silly cooking and sticking out his tongue

I've been married for 29 years to my best friend. He is patient, supportive and always makes me laugh. We like to do things outdoors. We both like to hike, go camping and take walks at sunset.

My eldest child is an artist who graduated from Dobson High and now lives in Washington to pursue his art degree. He is hearing impaired and together we have learned a few hundred words in American Sign Language. I incorporate hand movements in my classroom to improve memory through activating additional parts of the brain.

My youngest son, Zeke is musically talented composing his own songs on the computer. He just graduated from ASU with a major in Supply Chain Managment in the School of Business. We would love to see him combine his love of music in his career. He currently is working in his field in Maryland.

Both my children are creative, kind and fun to be around. But they are on opposite sides of the country! :(

I started teaching in 1989 in the Los Angeles Unified School District where I had a variety of experiences.  I worked with populations in regular and special education classrooms, from kindergarten to high school. I even taught adults.

This is my second year at Carson and I look forward to meeting you and your family. Contact me with any questions or concerns. I will respond to phone calls made Monday through Thursday within 24 hours. Most of the time, it is faster to email me.

It is going to be a great year!
