Welcome to Carson Junior High School! I hope you and your family had a wonderful Summer. It is always exciting to begin a new academic school year. I look forward to a productive year filled with new experiences and learning in English in the Conversation, Reading, and Grammar classes.
I have taught in Mesa at Smith Junior High and Shepherd Junior High for three years. Also, I taught at Mesa Junior High for three years. I have been teaching here at Carson Junior High for eight years. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Ottawa University and my Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University.
Parent involvement and encouragement helps students to be successful. Your child receives the most productive education when the student, parent/guardian(s) and teacher work together as a team. You will receive contact often through viewing the parent portal, progress reports, e-mails, and phone calls. You may also check the planner for assignments, projects, and home practice.
My native place is San Luis Potosi, Mexico. When I was twelve years old, my family and I immigrated to Arizona. I have been living here since 1989 and I could not live anywhere else. I love Arizona with its heat and desert.
I am married and have three wonderful children. A fifteen year old that is in tenth grade, a nine year old in fourth grade, and a seven year old in third grade.
This class is a never ending cycle of learning. I enjoy junior high students for their personalities and their zest for life. We will become skillful learners in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, grammar, and vocabulary. I work hard to inspire each of my students through meaningful lessons. In return, I expect each student to give me the opportunity to teach in a positive manner by coming to class with a sense of responsibility and positive attitude.
