Biography

I was born and raised in Mesa, AZ. While I have also lived in Boston and Hawaii, I still call the Valley of the Sun home. I have one brother and one sister, who both graduated from Mesa High School. I enjoy sports of all kinds and am into all different genres of music. I also like to be outdoors to surf or ride quads in the mountains.

I have a degree in Secondary Education Mathematics from Ottawa University. I believe that I need to prepare students for what comes after the end of semester exams. In the classroom, we build a community of learners where we can openly learn from each other and together become not only better mathematicians, but better members of society. I expect students to work with one another to achieve common goals. My job is to help these students to become the best person they can be. During that time, I observed how children learn and what works best for certain kids. I find that my job is to be a facilitator of learning, not just learning math but learning about the world in which we live.
