Classroom Performance System "Clickers"

The Classroom Performance System (CPS) is a package of hardware and software developed by eInstruction Corporation. The "clickers" are small, handheld devices that allow students to respond to questions asked verbally, on paper or on screen and enables a teacher to instantly assess student's comprehension of a lesson.  The software and hardware work together so that teachers can create and deliver course-relevant questions and standards.  The system creates an interactive learning environment in any classroom.

Course Description:

Using Clickers to Increase Student Motivation & Performance 1

This course will provide teachers with training on how to use Clickers with district created materials. Teachers will learn how to setup their own Clicker database, download and import files, create fast grades, engage Clicker lessons and interpret reports. Time will be given for teachers to create fast grades from their own classroom materials.

Using Clikcers to Increase STudent Motivation and Performance 2

This course will provide opportunities for teachers to expand their Clicker databases by learning how to create interactive lessons that are used with an LCD projector. Teachers will create a variety of lessons including various types of questions, graphics, and formats. They will also learn how to incorporate Exam View, PowerPoint, Verbal Mode, and Team Challenges. As teachers create their own materials, they will learn how to build, organize and deliver a variety of interactive lesson/assignments based on their MPS curriculum standards, generate detailed reports and immediately analyze student progress. Req'd Prerequisite: Clicker 1(TEC1035).
