The week of October 25th-29th is Red Ribbon Week. This is a week of encouraging students to say NO to smoking, drugs, and alcohol. The classes will be creating posters in support of healthy living. We are asking the students to participate in the theme days to support Red Ribbon Week.
Monday: "Kick off Red Ribbon Week" - wear red
Tuesday: "Don't Get Mixed Up In Drugs" - wear mismatched clothes
Wednesday: "Put A Cap On Drugs" - wear any type of hat
Thursday: "Drugs Won't Turn Me Inside Out" - wear clothes inside out
Friday: "Team Up Against Drugs" - wear your favorite team shirt
It’s time for our annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Here are the rules:
1. Use a real or fake pumpkin.
2. No carving, cutting, or punctures.
3. Maximum size – 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide.
4. Place the pumpkin on a piece of cardboard with name, grade, and room number.
5. Deliver the pumpkin to the Crismon office by 7:25am on Monday October 25 to be included in the voting. Classes will vote during their regular library time.
Pumpkins will be on display in our Crismon “Pumpkin Patch” at the Fall Festival on Friday, October 29, where winners will be announced. Students will take their decorated pumpkins home with them at the end of the evening. All participants will receive a participation certificate. Top finishers will receive a ribbon.
Crismon families, to help make our Fall Festival a success, we are asking for candy donations. Bags of candy should be given to your student's teachers no later than Wednesday, October 27th. We appreciate the support parents provide for their students and our events.
Join us for our Fall Festival on October 29th beginning at 6pm. Students may wear their costumes, play games, make oobleck, view art work created by Crismon students. The winners of the Pumpkin decorating contest will be announced at the Festival and students will take their pumpkins home. Students will also "Trunk or Treat" and received a treat bag of candy from their teachers. PTO will also sell glow sticks, popcorn and water. We hope to see all our students there!!
