Dear Crismon Parents:
I hope this finds you and your family well and healthy. Thank you for “staying tuned” as we have geared up to begin remote learning. Our teachers are excited to begin providing virtual learning opportunities for our students. Classroom teachers have reached out to their students’ families and introduced the learning platforms they will be using for instruction and practice. Please help us stress the importance of continued learning. While our school buildings are closed, learning will continue.
One question you may have is “What about grades?”. Teachers may be asking parents to take pictures of student work and email it. Student grades can only be elevated from their third quarter grade based on the work they complete between now and the end of the school year. Teachers will be completing report cards at the end of the 4th quarter.
Teachers have provided families with a schedule of “live” lesson presentations and “office hours” where they will be available to meet virtually with students. Additionally, feel free to email your child’s teacher or call their classroom phone. Teachers can access their messages remotely. Our goal is to respond to families within 24 hours of receiving a message.
School lunch will continue to be provided at Crismon through Thursday, April 9. We will share information about meal distribution as it becomes available from district. Lunch is served from 11:00-1:00 as a “grab and go”. Sack lunch and breakfast for the following day are provided to students 18 years or younger.
Friday, April 10 is a designated school holiday. Virtual school will not be in session on that day.
Dear Crismon Families:
Over the past 2 weeks we have provided online resources and 10-day student work packets to students and families. If you have informed your child's teacher of the need for paper resources, the packets will be available for pick up during our grab and go lunch distribution through Friday, April 3, 2020.
Beginning Monday, April 6 Crismon teachers will begin providing virtual learning experiences for our students. Teachers will be reaching out to families in the coming week to share how these resources can be accessed and utilized. Families that don't have technology resources at home need to contact their child's teacher and request grade level paper learning resources. You can email or call your teacher's classroom phone. While teachers are not on campus, they can access their phone messages remotely. If you have forgotten the phone number or email, please go to our web page at www.mpsaz.org/crismon. In the drop-down menu at the top of the page hit "more" and then staff, which will take you to our staff list. The teacher's names are live links which take you to their homepage. Teacher emails and classroom phone numbers are listed here. Paper resources will be distributed during our grab and go meal distribution from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm beginning the week of April 6.
Please continue to reach out to us with your questions.
