PTA is a national initiative with local membership in schools across the country. Parents, grandparents, teachers and community members work together to create a positive school community through event planning, student support, child advocacy and fundraising.  The National PTA website can be accessed at  

Membership in the Crismon PTA is $10 annually, which allows access to PTA information and resources, the yearly State and National PTA Conventions and voting privileges in local, state and national decision-making processes. Additionally, many national companies (like Staples and car rental agencies) partner at the national level to give discounts to PTA members for services and products.

PTA is committed to helping provide a positive school environment by:

• supporting teachers and their objectives,
• creating a sense of community, where children and parents feel welcomed, enfolded and encouraged to make education a priority in their homes.
• raising money to fund school improvements and facilitate PTA commitments.

You don't have to be a member to attend a meeting or volunteer at an event. Your special skill set can be utilized at a variety of levels within our entirely volunteer-run organization.
