Impressive honors were received by two orchestras and two bands at the ABODA Area Concert Festival.
21 diligent competitors was tested in the biannual Career Development Event (CDE) Superstition District Competition, hosted at ASU’s Polytechnic campus.
These competitors did not disappoint, as most placed in the top ten in individuals, many within the top five. In terms of team placing, all placed within the top three, and Floriculture as well as Food Science took home plaques in honor of their first place victories.

Karen Pokrandt, CTE teacher at DHS, had photography students win ribbons at the Arizona State Fair.

Congrats to Dobson Spiritline on another Championship weekend! Our JV, Varsity and Varsity Five Man team all brought home first place banners in their division at the Desert Showdown Regional Competition in Glendale. This was our final team competition of the season and we finished it up with power and pride! Thank you to all of our parents who came to watch and support us! It's a great way to end our year!!
Amanda Ohnmacht won $500 this weekend for her ceramic sculpture titled "Insatiable Appetite" that was entered in to the Benedictine University juried art competition. The exhibition will be up until March 21.
Thank you to everyone who voted Dobson Pride as #1! Dobson is guaranteed at least $3000, and up to $15,000 for being in the top three. A Bookman's committee will visit our prideful school this week to determine our final placing and award!

Both the Dobson High School Girls & Boys Basketball Teams Clinch Division 1 Section 3 Super-sectional tournaments.
Both the Dobson High School Girls and Boys Basketball teams went on to clinch the Division 1 Section 3 Super-sectional tournaments. The #1 Ranked Lady Mustangs climbed their way past Valley Vista, Horizon, and Liberty to be crowned Champion on Saturday, February 15th @ North Canyon High School.
The Boys Basketball team advanced through their bracket by beating Mountain View, Mountain Ridge, and Pinnacle in order to move up to the #2 team in the State.
This past weekend the wrestling team placed 3rd in the sectional tournament held at Skyline High School. At this tournament the team qualified 7 wrestlers to the state tournament. The team had one sectional champion at 152lbs and two 2nd place wrestlers at 106lbs and 132lbs. Four other wrestlers place in the top four respectively. The team will compete in the state wrestling tournament this coming weekend in Prescott AZ.
