On Thursday, December 7th, 2017, nine of our Dobson Seniors participated in the 11th Annual "Vidas y Valores" event at Mesa Community College. This event is designed to help students understand the benefits about going to college. These students went to breakout sessions that discussed the barriers they may face, and what resources are available to help them overcome them and be a successful college student. They also learned different tools they can put into practice to stay on track as a college student. Our Dobson Seniors met MCC faculty, staff, and heard from current MCC students and where able to ask questions about their college experience. Our Seniors are excited to learn more about what MCC has to offer and start their admissions process. Go Mustangs!

The DHS Clay Club members have been working hard to prepare for MCC's annual Empty Bowls event held on October 4th. Students have been throwing, trimming, loading, unloading, glazing, and firing during the first quarter. Their hard work paid off with the final count totaling 300 hand-made bowls, the club's greatest contribution to date. Bowls are sold for $10 each and all the proceeds go to Paz De Christo a local organization that feeds, clothes, and empowers those in need in the East Valley.
